As the only nation-standard, international, comprehensive cultural fair of China, with the core of exhibitions and exchanges, China （Shenzhen） International Cultural Industries Fair （ICIF）, which is co-hosted by Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade （CCPIT）, Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, spares no efforts to build an exchange platform for Chinese cultural products and projects, promotes development of China cultural industries, and exports Chinese cultural products to the world.

Under the guidance of CPC 17th National Congress, in accordance with the Scientific Development and central officials’ instructions on holding successful ICIF, focusing on the key goals of promoting the development of China’s cultural industry and exportation of Chinese cultural products, ICIF further enhances the core-contents-oriented exhibition and leading & inspection effect on the cultural industry. ICIF also enhances its international influence and trade function. Adhering to the guidelines “internationalization, specialization, marketization, standardization, and high quality”, ICIF aims to establish a leading brand of China’s cultural industry fair and exportation.

The 5th ICIF will be held from May 15 - 18, 2009 at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.  It will cover an area of 105,000 square meters and will have 8 halls.  They are:  China Cultural Industries Projects Trade Hall, Art Hall, Digital Movies, Television, Animation and Video Games Hall, Performance Industry Hall, Creative Design Hall, Press and Publication Hall, Gifts Hall and Arts and Crafts Hall.

Based on these thoughts, the 5th ICIF will further enhance its organization of core contents of the cultural industry and exhibiting ratio of contents of cultural industry and key creative industry. Continuing to strengthen its authoritative & influential, national-leveled and international position, ICIF will further implement its “export” strategy and set up an exhibition zone for annual important national export enterprises and projects of cultural industry. ICIF displays the latest achievements in the exportation of Chinese cultural products and services, and continues to enhance the export trade share and cooperation with international exhibition giants, multinational corporations and agents.
